In the footsteps of civilizations thousands of years old

Kapadokya Jeolojik Oluşum

GEOLOGICAL FORMATION

The unique landscape of Cappadocia is the result of a process that began about 60 million years ago with the volcanic eruptions of Erciyes, Hasandağı, and Güllüdağı. The soft tuff layer formed by the accumulation of lava and ash from the volcanoes has been eroded by wind and water over millions of years to form the fairy chimneys we see today.
